If you think of that way, then the 40% back offer is actually 66.6666% more(i.e. spend $75 and get 40% back= $30 which is the same as spend $45 to get $75), which is still better.

For me, the more money I spend at Shoppers the less I save. It's hard to find things I need that are on sale - and then I have to pad out the total with regular-priced items until I hit the minimum spend threshold, which are marked up 20% compared to other stores, so that eats into my savings.
Anyways, I have the 40% back offer this week, which means I only need to fill my cart with $50 worth of stuff, so definitely better value than 50,000 for $75 worth of stuff.
(Also if I get $55 worth of stuff, I get 40% back on that additional $5. If I redeemed $50 for, say, $80 worth of stuff, I'd have to spend an extra $5 and not get anything back for it.)

Not everyone wants to be perpetually stuck in their point system though.ml88888888 wrote: ↑ If you think of that way, then the 40% back offer is actually 66.6666% more(i.e. spend $75 and get 40% back= $30 which is the same as spend $45 to get $75), which is still better.

So I used my points for a switch just now and the offer works in increments of 10k points as long as you pass the threshold not just 50k. So I redeemed 260k points for $390 off. Just a heads up as it doesn’t say that anywhere in the fine print.

Never done the redeem offer before, got the 40% back in points offer in the app, if I want to redeem 200K towards a switch, how that math will work out? Thanks.

You’ll get $200 of the switch, and then get 80K points back + the points you get from spending $200 for the rest of the switch price.

Why making the math so complicated...
If you just calculate the dollar value for each point:
$75 with 50k pts, 1 point = $. 0015
With 40% pts back, $50 with 30k (50k x 60%), 1 point = $.001667
So 40% pts back is a better deal as per the vale per point
