Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Bonus Redemption Event (February 11-13)
Shoppers Drug Mart has a new bonus redemption event coming up this weekend, but here's the twist: it's a beauty event. Starting Saturday, spend your Shoppers Optimum points on cosmetics and fragrances and you can maximize your points.- When you spend 40,000 points, you'll get up to $90 off your purchase (extra $27 in savings)
- When you spend 80,000 points, you'll get up to $200 off your purchase (extra $64 in savings)
This redemption event is running from February 11-13 and includes cosmetics, select skin care products, fragrances, jewellery, hair colour, hosiery, bath foam and gel, and nail care. Remember that taxes calculated based on your full purchase price prior to the discount reward being applied.
As always, this offer excludes prescription purchases, tobacco products, stamps, passport photos, lottery tickets, event tickets, transit tickets/passes, gift cards, phone cards and prepaid card products.

It's been awhile, so if someone can refresh me on this.
If I were to buy some Cologne or Perfume for $125 and then other Non-cosmetic items for $75, will I be able to redeem 80,000 SO Points for $200 off and pay $26 in the taxes? Or are they strict about this where it must all be from Cosmetics?
Thanks.

In the past, yes you could, except in some stores where they were strict and refused to let customers do it even though the computers allowed it. But who knows if they've changed the system since last time...
