Hasn't been 10% for over a year now. Get them while they last.

I wonder who set the terms - $500 limit but the deal is in $300 multiples...
Tons of things for sale!

Thanks OP, was running low. I'll take 8.3% over 0%

The $500 limit doesn't make sense though.. someone at SDM failed math?

7.7% is correct since you get $325 for $300, a $25 bonus. 25/325 = 7.7% but...
... you lose your 4% Triangle rewards points...
...but gain .4% Canadian Tire money on cash/gift card sales.
7.7 - 4 + .4 = 4.1%

Is going to the trouble of buying a gift card, remembering to use the gift card, etc. worth the trouble for 4.1%? I'm cheap. So yes!!

Wouldn’t you get 45pt/$1 if you use Pc world elite master card at shoppers.

When using CT gift cards to pay for gas, you get around 3.5c per litre, which is around 2-3% depending what the gas prices are. The rate changes I believe (I've noticed it to be 3c, 3.5c, or 4c), but its around there. You also gain X% of credit card points that you use to purchase from Shoppers. Even better when you're trying to hit a welcome bonus!

In Alberta CT money earned at 4c/l for any amount. So on say $1 gas the GC+CT money saving are 12c/l ( 4+7.7) rounded.. PLUS don't forget the additional 2c/l survey code. So all stacked ~ 14c/l savings. Best out there by a mile!

You always seem to get 1-2 cards that don't work, (either stolen codes/never scan properly) that easily negates any bonus

Personally I find CT prices are higher vs other stations as well...

Anyone know what refinery they get their gas from?

Look for the new style GCs where the bar code is hidden under a perforated tear away strip. Don't get the old style where the bar code is plainly visible that can be compromised.

For the stations near me, they are cheapest.
Also, the 91 octane doesn't have ethanol so that's a win for me.
They get their gas from any of the big refineries. Shell/Exxon/Chevron? Same as Costco

I've always wondered with CT cards if people can "steal a balance" using just the card number. The CT website doesn't take gift cards last I checked, so how would they do it?

Must be you're unlucky. Never had issues and as another rfder mentioned most cards now are with hidden barcodes!
