[Shoppers Drug Mart] Get 40% back in PC points when redeeming $50+ (Tues/Wed Dec 11/12th) Targeted

I just looked at my pcoptimum offers and saw this offer. This would be huge if we can get 20% off friends & family event and 40% off points. That means if you redeem 50,000 pts, you'll get 20,000 pts back in two weeks.

Damn, I just took advantage of this offer last week. This is even better if I can get an additional 20% off from Friends and Family. Mind you, I haven't received any email for Friends and Family, so no idea if a barcode is required.

Time to buy some games or consoles if you can find them.

A game would normally cost $80.
20% off (F&F) and taxes.. (.8)×80×1.13=72.32
Redeem 60,000 pts (before taxes) and get back (in two weeks) 24,000 - net points spent is 36,000
Net paid is $12.32 + 36,000 pts or $48.32

If you want to buy a console like a switch that would cost $380.
(.8)x380 = $304 + taxes = $343.52.
Redeem 300,000 pts and get back 120,000. Net spent is 180,000 pts
Total cost is $34.52 + 180,000 pts or $214.52.

Happy spending to save.

When is F&F event? Is that a targeted offer as well?

Got the offer again this week. It’s too bad I burned most of my points last week so I can’t try to double dip this with the F&F offer.

There are lots to buy on events like this. Electronics, games, consoles, electric tooth brushes, shavers, diapers, .... food,.. something for everyone. You have to know the price, do some math to see how much you would save, and jump on it...
