[Shoppers Drug Mart] Good deal on Cologne/Perfume like Versace, Armani, etc

I was just about to buy VERSACE Pour Homme Dylan Blue Eau de Toilette Spray 100ml /$109 at the Bay
But then I came across this better deal at Shoppers drug mart;

You get this gift set with 7 samplers + 1 gift certificate which can be redeemed for a full size cologne of your choice within the samplers pack for $105 + you get 20x the points today (that's $31.5 in points)

So I'm getting Versace pour Homme Dylan Blue Eau de Toilette for $105 - $31.50 in points = $73.50 and I get to keep all the samplers.

For reference for the men's selections you can find some of them on fragrancebuy.

CALVIN KLEIN ETERNITY FOR MAN - 100ml Tester $33
VERSACE EROS FOR MAN - 100ml Tester $49.95
RALPH LAUREN POLO BLUE FOR MAN 125ml Tester $55 / Boxed $75
VERSACE DYLAN BLUE FOR MAN 100ml Boxed $63.95
UOMO BY SALVATORE FERRAGAMO FOR MAN 100ml Boxed $53.95
ENGLISH LAUNDRY OXFORD BLEU FOR MAN 100ml Tester $55 / Boxed $69

Gotta take shipping into account too if there's no free shipping code, but some of these are significantly cheaper online. Best deal here is if you're interested in Armani Stronger with You, since it doesn't have a huge discount online.

I don't shop at these type of places for cologne/perfume (I have my reasons, do your own research)
Know what you are getting into when you are buying a tester, plus you have to pay for shipping and you don't get the sampler pack that you would with Shoppers drug mart deal.

Can you share your reasons?

I don't buy cologne very often so I am interested what the differences are.

The juice inside a Tester is the same as in a normal bottle.

The only difference is that sometimes it's written "tester" on the bottle. Sometimes the cap is missing. and sometimes the box is different.

I think it's well worth the price difference, knowing it smells exactly the same!

Fragrances have a limited shelf life in that that will get less potent over time. They don't have a expiry date per say, but the stuff you're getting from discount sites probably isn't from the last year.

The testers often wear off quicker and are less potent...

Wrong, juice is the exact same. The only difference is either no cap or no box, but the actual product is the same.
