I'm not really sold on these ultra-expensive electric toothbrushes. What's the major benefit they have over one that costs $20?

Would appreciate an answer to this as well. Mistakenly told wife that I was going to trade in points for one, and she hands me this piece of crap battery operated one that seems to have done it's job. (I know wife only supposed to find out after purchase is made...what was I thinking?)

I've been using Sonicare toothbrushes for almost 10 years now, and honestly, I don't think they really offer anything more than a $20 one other than look and feel, and maybe it's a status thing. (I'm ready for the downvotes)

Toothbrush Oscillations Per Minute are like a 75" or 85" screen's resolution in megapixels: The higher the number, the better. Smiling Face With Sunglasses

[Unless someone presents a scientific, clinical study stating that 62,000 oscillations per minute is way, way, overkill and has no observable benefit on teeth.]

DiamondClean is the current 8K reigning king of non-spinning electric toothbrushes.

I suppose that depends on how much time one plans on spending to complete than toothbrushing task....or how slow is too slow? e.g. how many oscillation cycle does it take to clean a given surface area.

Aside from performance of the brush which is debatable. This one's comes with a glass wireless charger, a high quality travel case that you can charger your brush in on the go, and I am only guessing but it likely has much better battery life than a 20 dollar brush. The glass charger and travel case I could easily see retailing for $30 or $40 each, so it's not really like your paying 130 for just a brush, you are getting some nice high quality accessories too.

I confirmed it's working in Pharmaprix Montreal. Just pick a black edition on St Denis/Bélanger. Two white editions remaining.
They didn't change the price so I asked them to scan it and there were like: oh damn!
They probably changed it now.

Thanks OP and RFD!

Picked up black one at St. Jean Blvd pharmaprix. One black and 2 or 3 whites left. Price displayed was original price but scanned at sale price.
