It is worth a try. You will definitely get 500 Optimum points for your $50 purchase, but I doubt you will get the bonus (effectively 19 times the 500). I saw somewhere else that next week's bonus for buying SDM card is a bag of Hershey chocolates. Personally I would take the 9500 bonus points.
If people take time to read the fine print, then they should see the answer is no:
'*Points are issued according to the net pre-tax purchase total of eligible products after redemptions and discounts and before taxes using a valid Shoppers Optimum Card®. Excludes prescription purchases, Shoppers Optimum Bonus Points®, products that contain codeine, non-pointable items, tobacco products (where applicable), lottery tickets, passport photos, stamps, transit tickets and passes, event tickets, gift cards, prepaid phone cards, prepaid card products and Shoppers Home Health Care® locations. Offer applies to photofinishing services that are picked up and paid for on the day of the offer only. Not to be used in conjunction with any other Shoppers Optimum Points® promotions or offers. '

I have the following personal offers, can I stack them in one transaction? So if I can stack them, then if I buy $30 of ANY FARMER'S MARKET BAKED GOODS, I will get 8000 pts from offer 1 + 4500 pts($30 x 10 x 15) from offer 2 + 4500 pts($30 x 10 x 15) from offer 3 = 17000 pts. 17000 pts at the first level redemption rate of 10$ for 8000 pts = $21.25. Is it too good to be true?

1) 8,000 Optimum Bonus Points when you spend $30 or more on ALMOST ANYTHING IN THE STORE*
2) 15X Optimum Points when you spend $20 or more on ALMOST ANYTHING IN THE STORE.*
3) 15X Optimum Points ANY FARMER'S MARKET BAKED GOODS.*

Warning to folks that one of the two $100 esso cards that I bought had $0 on it when I tried to use it, even though it had never been used. The other one was fine.

Not sure why as I received a slip from shoppers when I bought it saying that it had been "activated".

Will bring it back and hope I don't have a battle on my hands to convince them.

1 and 2 won't stack. You get whichever gives you more.

Call the gift card company, shoppers cashier most likely can't help.

Sorry to ask this again if it was already answered...

So to clarify on a x20 points event to you cannot get x20 the points when buying SDM gift cards???

Cuz if you could than buying them on a x20 event
$200x10x20== 40,000 points more than the
8000+200x10==10,000 you stand to gain from this promotion?

Could then buy the gift cards tomorrow on the x20 event (say for a switch console buy $450 in SDM gift cards getting $450x10x20== 90,000 points) and on the same day or another x20 event buy the console ($399x10x20==79,800 points) leaving you with 169,800 points

Tnx and sorry again if this was already discussed

Correct. I was trying to suggest that it was in bad taste for SDM to treat it as a holiday by ending flyer deals the day before, then on the actual day (of solemnity), to treat it like it was 'Black Saturday' (as in 'Shopping Extravaganza Saturday'). SDM could have had their 'one day sale' on Sunday or Monday instead.
I'm with you on this one Manny. Having their one-day sale on Remembrance day jumped off the page for me as well.

its not the first time they have no flyers on a friday, i have noticed that many times before, it has nothing to do holiday/ remembrance day, coincidence and nothing more. they had no flyer on OCT 27 for example.

edit looking back on previous flyers they skipped sept 15 as well. so its much more common than i even thought

No flyer Friday is surprisingly common! And from my memory happens every long weekend, but not ONLY on long weekends. That's why you have to check your flyer every time.

find a 24 hours SDM stores, at exactly midnight, purchase it. i did that before and it worked but i heard there are some instance it won't work so YMMV. Worst case scenario, make an excuse and return it right away if the bonus 20x points did not show up.
On bonus days like these on a saturday, the bonus points SHOULD SHOW UP RIGHT AWAY.
And if you try it, report back and let us know how you made out!

We got 4 x $50 Esso gift cards that have been previously compromised. Now dealing with Shoppers HQ to get satisfaction. Lesson learnt for next time.

Just bought 3 gift cards totalling 200 using my cc. The cashier scanned my optimum card but it didn't seem to go through as I'm looking at my receipt. If I call in, they will credit the bonus points?

I have not really taken advantage of this program and have a Points Balance of 167,951 . Should I be using these before the merge? What is the best way to use them? Was going in today to take advantage of the gift card deal. If I buy 2 - 100 Shoppers , 2 - 100 petrocan and 2-100 amazon, does that have to be done with 3 seaparate Transactions to get the 24,000 points. I guess I would also get 2000 points for the shoppers card, so a total of 26,000 points?
Yes, you need to do 3 separate transactions, and correct, you would get 26,000 points (2000 today, and 24,000 Nov 17). Keep your receipt just in case.

I will personally be hoarding my points until after the merge and then redeeming them at RCSS for groceries. Most items at SDM I can find at a lower price at RCSS, or RCSS will price match in the event another store's price is lower.

You gotta read to OP man, it will be credited into your acc by Nov 17, unless you bought shoppers GC, which they will give you 2000 pts, then credit 8k after
