For Beats Solo3 at 95000 + $39.99 how much tax I must pay? For 249.99 or only 39.99? Thanks!

Tax on the full amount of $249.99

Since we only get max PC points after merger if we have greater than or equal to 95,000 points, the promo isn't as good as it appears as everyone who redeems points at this event and then has less than the 95,000 points leftover will be losing value at the merger. If you have 95,000 points left or more after redeeming at this event, you will not lose value at merger of the $210 for 95,000 points which is $40 on top of the regular $170 off.

For example, I currently have $138,142 points. If I redeem for 95,000 points for $210, I will have 43,142 points leftover and this will not give me a good conversion value when they merge. If I spend at this event, I will get $210 plus $68.12 so $278.12 at merger. If I don't spend, I will get $247.20 at merger. The difference is $30.92 so don't think you are getting the full $40 on top if you have less than 95,000 points after you spend at this event as I'm losing value as well at merger time.
You may be better off to redeem 50,000 points. That would leave you needing only 7000 points to get to the top level. I typically do that because it gets more and more difficult to find reasonably priced stuff for the extra $ to redeem 95,000 points.

I have about 190,800 points, which would normally equate to $340. With this mega redemption event, it would be about $420. I am planning to get the Xbox one X, can I use all the my points in one transaction? So, the Xbox will cost me 600-420+tax on 600 =$252. Is this correct?

I wouldn't be surprise if they'll have another one targeted after this to people with lots of points.

I have almost 500K SDM alone. That's not including PC points! And I've redeemed a few times. Your advice is exactly my thinking after reading that article. I seem to be able to rack up the points with no trouble in any event. Smiling Face With Open Mouth

It's free stuff either way. What's the big who-haha about which one is better? I don't get it.
Loblaws wants you to spend your points before the merger because No Frills, Loblaws, and RCSS will take a larger hit once points convert and everyone redeems for groceries. Especially if you're price matching at No Frills also.

I'm hoping to rack up enough points to use towards upfront costs of Koodo phone promos at TMS after the switch :)

That's correct - you can't redeem more than 95000 pts on any one transaction.

no, 95K max per transaction, the system won't let you redeem more than this when scan the item.

I bought the 16GB 8" Tab A on black friday. It uses up around 4-5 GB of the 16 GB storage space just for the default apps/system. I wouldn't recommend an 8 GB tablet to anyone, it will fill up too quickly even with having a few games and apps.
Depending on OS version , you can put in a quick microSD card and extend the memory ...
