How is this promotion supposed to work? I bought for around 75$ worth of stuff, the lady redeemed 50K points and made me pay the rest. I had over 100K points.
50K is worth $62.50 with this promotion. The rest must be tax that redemption does not cover for.

Well 50k is worth 62.5k (25%) points boost.
Only increments of 10k points can be redeemed.
Tax cannot be point redeemed. You need to pay it.
You should be able to figure out the rest.

Just got a note that the spend your points bonus is extended until Tuesday. I think that the $30 netflix card and get 5000 bonus ($5) is pretty good to load up on to your netflix account.

Does anybody know if I use points for the netflix GC, will i still get the 5000 bonus points?

Thanks!
I don't think you'll be able to redeem points for any giftcards, which would include netflix.

I thought shoppers senior sale is for 65+? If it's 60 that'd be great as my dad visits me all the time :)
I asked this question a few years ago and got told it was 50. Based on forums (SC mostly), the answer seems to vary 50 - 55 depending on the store. Since its franchised, i guess the answer depends on the store but i haven't heard of any SDM requiring the age to be 60. You just need the senior to ask for the discount because most cashiers won't do it automatically (recently i just got my dad to pay with GC and app on his phone on the card).

Just remember the senior discount is on regular price. One thing to note is some stores try to be sneaky and discount big items by a few cent or few $ to avoid "regular price". I.e. i've seen PS4 Pro on sale @ 489.99 or even 499.98 (yes 1 cent off) to avoid senior/f&f discounts.

This is from the Shoppers website.

“Seniors receive a 20% discount off regularly priced items (some exclusions apply). To be eligible for the discount, a customer must be at least 65 years of age and present their personal Shoppers Optimum card”

I’ve also heard the max discount is $50 although I couldn’t find the official answer to that.
From some of the rfd posts all these seem to vary depending on the store and CSR.

Just picked up a Ps4 Pro system from shoppers drug mart at Hurontario and Eglinton in Mississauga. Used 400,000 points bumped it up to $500 and only payed $64 and change out of pocket. If anyone is still looking they have a couple left.

we have over 800k points and same thing happened. I wasn't paying attention and on screen it recommended redeeming 50k points for 63$ worth. I believe that is what it defaults to. I and I think you, should have specifically told them how many points you were going to redeem.

Was this in the locked displays in the photo section?

The default redeemed 390K for me, so it is definitely not set to 50k. You can change to redeem for a lower amount than default, but not higher.

Yeah looks like on their promos page they extended it to the 17th. There will be a 20% off Friends and Family event tomorrow as well.
