Yeah for those who shop at other places besides Shoppers this will not be so bad. But for those of us who do - we will be impacted more (even if we strategically shop at SDM) unfortunately.
Who only goes to Shoppers? Wtf. Do you subsist on frozen food? Lol

I recall that in 2010 or 2011 or 2012 or somewhere in there. It's been a long time.

Umm no...I was referring to the other stores tied to the PC Optimum. I do not do groceries at No Frills/Loblaws/Superstore. There are other grocery stores out there you know like Metro, Longos, Food Basics, Freshco, Costco, Walmart, etc. ;)

I assume two people cannot combine accounts into one card after this lol.

Was hoping me and my husband can just combine all of our PC and Optimum accounts into one.
You need to do all the combing of accounts by the end of January... cause the roll out info says the New PC Optimum Program will be one account per household... and no explanation on how any point / account combining will happen afterwards. You'd hate to forfeit any points you already have.

We have two Shoppers Optimum Accounts... easy enough to transfer points between them on the SDM website.

Does it say one account her household? That's kinda silly, I've got 3 people living in my house and we all have different optimum and pc plus accounts. Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but I don't know how they would implement one account per household. Our PC Mastercard are all tied to different accounts too.

That's not true, they have a household system to link people with multiple accounts, but each family member still has their own account.
A PC Optimum member can invite any friend or family member to join their Household by logging into their online PC Optimum account and following the prescribed steps. A maximum of ten PC Optimum members may be part of a single Household.
When you join a Household, all of the PC Optimum points in your Account are pooled with the points of all members of the Household.

You don't have to participate in that if you don't want to. It's a household link, so that multiple members can redeem from the same "account" (my parents would like this, for instance). You can join and leave at any time.
You can live under the same household and choose to not participate in this however.

It was in 2011 and it was for $250. One time only and never seen again. In the following year there was also a mega bonus but it was lower at $230. Subsequent years it was down to $210.
Have a nice day!

WOW. If you have 95,000 optimum points ($170 value) they will now be 95,000 pc points ($95 value). CRAZY CHICKENS GUYS
Can you update/delete your post? This is completely false and especially misleading being one of the first few posts...

You can price match at the Loblaws stores and they typically have some good sales anyway. I don't know why you can't just go there and spend your points unless they are really far away from you.
