weird day today. everything points down, yet SPX going up - doing nothing (and did not trade for some time)
sold CL AUG 59/73 strangle for 1.12 - pretty good premium for 1 std
covered HTZ 15/21 strangle for nice winner
After spending many years in Wall Street and after making and losing millions of dollars I want to tell you this: it never was my thinking that made the big money for me. It was always my sitting. Got that? My sitting tight!

index hasn't run down since, forever?

QQQ record high daily

I've gotta learn to go with the trend. Buy high, sell higher
instead of looking for dip buys, Buy low and sell high

SPX may have finally topped short term, unless 2800 taken out. Closed below yesterdays low, still expecting a bounce.
2768 would be my first target, followed by 2740.
I think 2700 is safe

Agreed, I think we could see 2700 by EOM.
Personally not planning on shorting though, looking to BTFD at some point for a summer rally. I have a short-term cycle low on June 22.
Bears need to do more, we held daily 8EMA overnight. Still leaning towards rangebound trading into tomorrow's OPEX.

I thought this was a spoof, but it's real Face With Tears Of Joy : https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles ... t-of-heart
I visit S. Korea at least once a year to see my family (was just there in April) and things really got lightened up. Words on street is that corporations are gearing up on bidding N.Korea contracts (I trade little bit of Korean exchange as well and certain companies did emerge up on surface for the past few months and mainly infrastructure, heavy industry ones) There's ton of infrastructure to be built and labor can be dirt cheap. Koreans never have been this optimistic ever since they got separated.

Personally, I don't think they are ready for it. Look what happened to Germany. Would be good trading/investing opportunity though when it happens :)

Absolutely! Please keep us posted on any interesting developments that you come across. Multi-bagger potential...

ES at 2790 (76.4 retracement). Now or never bears...

Not liking this USD spike, closed GC and PL longs @ 1311 (+16) and 916(+2) respectively.

Edit: Closed Cocoa longs @ 2452 (+137)
Edit2: Getting kicked in the nuts by ZS here, will bail if there is no sign of reversal by EOD. Bad trade in hindsight, broke my rules and fell prey to FOMO.

Is it just me? I don't have the talking heads at CNBC on today, but it feels like a Friday.

Is the loonie the 'most hated currency' in markets right now?

"Our forecasts indicate that we are unlikely to make a sustained push below US$1.30 any time soon"

I'll take the other side of this trade, looking for 1.26
Such a stupid article. No, the Mexican Peso has done worse; the Argentinian currency is completely trashed, etc, etc.

oil big reversal - CAD tanking as expected.
Russia and SA meeting today to discuss OPEC deal ahead of the meeting next week.

USD big up move, and bonds follow.

SPX bounced as expected. Closed small long trade for +8 points. If ES drops below 2782, we might have some volatility
