What is this talk of dovish or hawkish? It's going to be a panel discussion. Anything of substance coming out of their lips would be surprising IMO.

Unless someone says something stupid the rally should continue today.

Last night it felt as a trap and it ended up being bear trap.
Despite negative news, markets are up big.
Waiting for JP at 10:15, maybe we get a reversal. Most likely we are going to test 2510 again
It's easy to grin when your ship comes in and you've got the stock market beat.

2520 is jinxed.
Ah come on, today's growth has been pretty substantial :)

Anyone else in the same boat I am whereby my mood is tied to short term stock market performance despite all logical efforts to feel otherwise? Face With Tears Of Joy

Well I’m happy to have loaded up my husband’s TFSA at 10am this morning, before those index ETFs went further up - but would’ve been much happier if his deposit arrived yesterday (and he keeps telling me, “think long term!” Face With Tears Of Joy)

Win some, lose some as they say. I had close to half a million $ in Microsoft stock alone (accumulated over the last 8 years). Sold it all at 113$ a share and kicking myself for a bit as it hit 116$. Then the stock market melted and I felt better.

That is true. It will hold around this level. Could see a breakout next week - fingers crossed.

Yeah I’d been regretting selling Apple for $121 two years ago - until two days ago.. now regret to only have sold half of NFI for $60+ - and not selling AT&T for $40+.. no, it’s a beautiful day today, even outside, so “no rugrets!” :)

Long NQ @ 6394, stop 6380, this is a highly risky FOMO trade
Still in the 1/2 CL long, took off stop for now

Edit: Set NQ stop to 6395, CL back to 47.75. Plan to hold till EOD if I don't get stopped out.
Edit2: Out NQ 6412 (+18)
Edit3: Lol wouldn't you know it, took off right after I sold. Need to work on patience
Edit4: Stopped out of CL for a scratch

Anyone else surprised at the Vix numbers?

I would expect after a huge rally like today vix would be higher than 22

VIX is like a leaky balloon -> quick to fill up, slow to let the air out
