I replaced my stock with long dated calls
Jan 2020 10 calls. Small premium for a lot of time. You could sell near term 13 calls to get it back.
defined risk, unlimited upside. No dividends, though. But you save on capital big time

btw, Jan 2019 is only 50c in premium.
Hmm..

Isn’t it almost certain that it is coming out of Dow? I think market is already pricing it

Deutsche Bank sure believes so. At this point there are too many negatives imho surrounding GE, not even a sliver of doubt from bears which leads me to think there is room for upside on this one even if it takes a while for the eventual breakup to happen.

It all seems reminiscent of HP before all the spinoffs and they've recovered massively since then despite being marked for death.

Market is in full risk-on mode LOL. Under 19 VIX, it's been a while.

I honestly don't even know why the sudden optimism today, may just be simply due to a return to focus on improving earnings after markets have been punished for so long.

Yes, oversold bounce and short-covering IMO. Volume is pathetic, each rally is on declining volume.
Too much bearishness out there, so we continue to squeeze until shorts throw in the towel.
Rinse and repeat Winking Face

In other news, a lot of activity in BTC today. If it can hold gains and consolidate, temp bottom should be in.

Market leaders all rallying on declining volume, not sustainable longer-term IMO.

Good morning!
Futures bounced as expected after holding the 61.8 retracement overnight.
Out of 1/2 ES @ 2671 (+15). Stop to 2659 on the rest.

Edit: Out remaining ES @ 2670.5 (+14). Will re-enter on a confirmed breakout above 2675, so far we have LH only

Bulls are in control >2650. Parlayed 15% of profits into today's 2690 calls @ 1.75 as a Friday lotto.
GL all!

JPM beats : https://www.cnbc.com/2018/04/13/jp-morg ... -2018.html

Citi beats: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/04/13/citigro ... -2018.html

WFG beats: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/04/13/wells-f ... mates.html

Bulls have a tailwind, need to capitalize.

Edit: Back in long ES 2675, stop 2670, small size
Edit2: Out 2676.5. Just noticed that we're at weekly 8/20EMA resistance
Edit3: Order in to exit 1/3 calls @ 5.5
