Darn...having a hard time finding entry point to add to my position in the banks...
Just wait when leflower make a post here, don't even have to look at stock price. You know he's gona come gloating about his "success" when RY drops like 2%.

LOL. well, as they say, you can be right but wrong in the timing. Perhaps now is the right time. LOL

The adjusted 12 Month Forward P/E for banks are 12 right now, this is around the historical highs.

You want to buy at any price and sell higher than that. You will need to know how to set stops and take your profit when the targets are achieved. Shorting the banks now would be crazy.

You're 26, and your mom still buys your toilet paper.

At this point, RY will need to crash almost 30% just to get back to Feb,2106 when OP proclaimed short-RY was a safe and sure trade which should crash 30,50,70% or whatever random number.

Happy 1 year anniversary everyone!Face With Tears Of Joy

So looking at google finance, RY was around $67/share on February 9th 2016, and today 1 year later, RY closed at an all time high of $96.17/share. That's about a 43% gain. Talk about being on the wrong side of a trade. Ouch LOL.

Now let's wait for OP to tell us how his imaginary 10 figure portfolio of miners is up MASSIVE, YUUUUUUUUGE gains.

You forgot to take into account the dividends - which the OP would have to pay.

I suspect you'll never hear from the OP again - at least not in this thread.

so does anyone think it's a good time to "speculatively" short banks now? Short a moderate amount ofcourse.

I think you should read this thread in its entirety before shorting Canadian banks.
