Should I buy the Jack Lalanne Juicer?
The elite one claimed to have the ability to make soy milk and it's on sale this week for $99. Sounds tempting, but don't know about the cleaning part. I have a dishwasher but I avoid it as much as I could cos of the amount of hydro and water consumption....

I bought it after hearing sooo many people tell me they love it!!! I can't add to the cleaning part yet, as it is a x-mas gift, but I do know that $99.99 is the cheapest anywhere!!! I did a price match at Canadian Tire last week and got it for $86, factoring in the 10% difference rule. On TV they sell the basic model, not the stainless one, for $99.99 + shipping and handling.
Hope this helps!!!

I bought a Breville Juice Fountain a few years ago for 99 dollars, but never used it. Never as convenient as people make it out to be.
Tried making soy milk too, but it didn't extract any juice from the beans, only crushed it. I had better luck with a cheese cloth.

is your juicer for sale?
my mom always wanted to get a juicer cos she wants to make some veggie and fruit juice (not sure how often that will happen but she almost bought it from the infomercial at $159.99 in the summer)....
i don't think soya bean has any juice in them...more like crushing it to get the taste...my friend's mom bought a soya milk machine from a chinese hardware store and couldn't figure out how to work so she just used a blender and the old school method....

I have a Jack Lalanne older version. It's good but the cleaning part is just a hassle. Takes about 10-15 minutes to clean after.
I would use it almost everyday if the cleaning is minimal. But now it's just sitting there collecting dust(use it maybe every few months).

Any comments on the soy milk feature? Does it actually make soy milk or does it only grind up the beans (in which case, I'll just stick with my blender)?

I knew someone that had a juice tiger. It gave them too much hassle to clean it after use so they never used it.

anyone else have experience with the Jack Lalanne juicer?
I'm wary of buying it because of the cleanup...
