Should I contribute to wedding gift?
A friend has asked me to accompany him to his friend's wedding. I don't know his friend or anybody else. Am I expected to contribute to the gift? I think he's giving $150 for the two of us. It will be a cocktail party in a tent.

are you closed to your friend? if so...yea..give like $50 to cover your own plate...treat it like you guys are going out for dinner instead of accompanying him to a wedding...

if your friend is asking you to accompany him, because he already told the groom/bride that he's bringing another person, then i don't think you have to contribute. But if you want to, then its up to you, but since you are asking, then i guess you don't want to
