Might sound like heresy but have you considered Canon?

I purchased an a6000 on Boxing Day and it is a great camera for taking pictures but he video aspect seems lacking.
No mic input and lack of fully articulating screen. Known for over heating as well but I haven't experienced that yet.

I upgraded my T4i to a T7i and the body price has dropped to $774 at Vistek.

Fully articulating screen for vlogging, touch screen, mic input, and some of the best dual pixel autofocus out there.
No 4k though but editing this requires a high end pc.
Body fits better in the hand and the menu system is better than Sony.
Tons of lenses out there.

Other than Canon Log this sums up my experience but not using a 6300

I have considered them as well. I looked at the g7x but found it lacked what I needed in a camera (no slow mo shooting)

Ohhhh....I forgot to mention that damned awkward location of the movie recording button on the Sony.

We come here looking for deals. We use the savings on the things we buy to justify buying more things, thus filling our homes with tons of unnecessary consumer products. Such is the key to happiness.

Agreed however most of the reasons still apply to Canon APS-C which is what the author should have done.
