If you have no problem with their very limited lens selections then yes go for it. Personally I won't as Sony has their main focus on their high end FF line up. Sony has most of their resource on the FF R&D and so the APSC will rarely get anything nice. If downsizing is your main goal of the switch then you should look into the M43 world instead.
Should I sell my Canon 70D for Sony a6300

+2 on this. I shoot concerts in low light, and a 70-200 2.8 is a must have. I picked up an open Tamrom 70-200 VC Nikon mount for $880 USD. Compared to the Sony solution, no contest.AncasterRFD wrote: ↑+1 ... well if you're going to compare that way lol, the Nikkor/Canon 70-200 2.8 is around $2K used, the new Sony G 70-200 is well over $3K and it will be a while before there's a few to choose on the used market.
Size-wise this is how I would outfit them: 70D+17-55 2.8, A6300+16-70, PanZS100 to compare
Now, if I was just looking at a travel rig with a couple small primes, sure Sony looks great if you don't mind the Zeiss price tags .
