I was able to proxy the geo without needing to proxy the stream. So the stream itself is between you and their cdn servers. That said, I have buffering issues when attempting to stream from their servers. But it may have just been my ISP's horrible connection to hong kong. Let me know how it goes.

what kind of vpn service does it need to fool amazon.com?

With DNS proxy on my BR players they can show the introduction screen of Amazon Instant Video, though I haven't signed up yet -- netflix already kep me busy enough. Today when I tried to buy some mp3 it turned down my purchase by telling I was not in US. I set HTTP proxy but still got no luck. Also tried IPsec VPN but it complainted there were no response from remote server -- maybe because of the firewall because I was at work.

Thanks.

Maddawg,

I'll do the professional installation for you free of charge. I've never used your router and firmware, it would be nice to be able to check it out; so I can support it in the future. I will connect to your computer via our remote viewer, and then configure your router through your browser.

Please file a support ticket noting that you are maddawg from redflagdeals, and Ill get it.

With amazon, I believe you need a USA credit card on file. I had no problems purchasing or viewing usa only content, but my account does have a USA billing address and credit card.

Yes, that's the trick. I used to have a virtual card from Entropay set to US currency for 1-click, and now it turned out this can't fool Amazon. After switched to a US-based card the order could go through.

Thanks again!

I have a PS3 here, tested everything working just fine. If you're having a problem with a specific app, file a support ticket and I will take a look at it.

I'm not sure what you mean? If you have a dynamic ip you can use the service. You just need to authorize your ip address when it changes. You can login to the proxy network at http://www.hidemynet.com/ips_login.php

We're making a program that you can run on windows computer that will act as a VPN gui, and DNS configurator which will automatically update your ip with us. But we're still 6+ months out on having something worthy of delivering to customers.

Anyone know? Or is it dynamic based on the site I am trying to hit?

The DNS Proxy routes the data through our servers based on the site you try to load. If you load netflix it goes via USA, if you load BBC it goes via UK, etc.

If you're using one of our vpn or http proxy services, you would need to change the server you're connecting to.

Clee or other members,
Pardon my ignorance here but is the below streaming only accessible via a pc? Can this be done with a Smart TV or Wii or Blu-Ray enabled device?

Thank you.

I've only tested it in the browser at this time. Does the WII support TVB? I will take a look and get it working on there.

There is no TVB on WII, but I did see they added amazon video recently (which works with our service). Usually the device needs a 'channel' or 'app'.

Thanks for the confirmation! I went to the internet channel and typed in tvb.com (was able to get onto their website but don't have a clue how to reach chinese...LOL). I tried one of the videos but it says "blah blah blah Adobe flash player". Oh well, at least I'm able to get on US Netflix. Keep up the good work HMN.

What is the link to update our IP address when our dynamic IP changes?
