Yes I am serious. I don't follow politics or watch the news. All I know is gas is cheap.

LOL...roger that!
If it's only a few more dollars after conversion, than go for it...if it's a few hundred then wait!

I decided to buy now. Our dollar is in bed with oil prices. And oil is going to get even cheaper (according to Saudi prince). I'm not making this up

It's still worth 4 quarters, 10 dimes, 20 nickels. It sucks that you can't get 100 cents for a $ now though. :(

Virtual money is of little practical use.

Once oil starts to go up, the dollar will too.

But then we'll be unable to travel anywhere again. It's a shame this didn't happen last summer, I would have loved to take a long road trip.

Take a trip to Europe. The euro is pretty cheap right now and headed lower, maybe at a faster clip than the Cdn dollar is going down.

Are flights dropping in price, commensurate with the falling fuel costs, or will we need to wait a few months for that to kick in?

We're in SC right now and really feeling the drop. It's great paying lower prices for gas (paying around $1.72 a US gallon) but buying more US dollars is painful. We have a place here and so we pay all of our expenses in US$ and it's not good. Only way to look at it though is we are saving on our fuel prices so no point in whining about it. It will get ugly though, the longer this lasts as there is no way of reducing these fixed expenses we have for the townhouse. Oh well, could be worse. The sales tax is less so that helps and I bought a printer today and there are none of those enviro fees so that's a plus and restaurants and a lot of things are cheaper so I guess it balances out, somewhat.
