The people considering a GTX 660 are in no way concerned with waiting for a price drop on a GTX 970. The cards aren't even remotely close in their target market / price point. This statement is completely ridiculous in this context.

If anyone is wondering it performs 20-30% better than a 750ti and is pretty much the same as an r7 265 in performance. Pretty good for a budget build.

In SLI, these would be great, no?

I am 1 for 2 with nmicrovip reburbs but have to say that their RMA policy is the smoothest I have ever seen. Basically no questions asked was able to return my defective 770 with pre-paid shipping.

Don't go with SLI. You will regret it. Get a single card solution that costs the same as two of these 660's and you will be much happier. Through experience I have found that there are just too many issues with SLI/CFX setups.

You're right. I haven't looked at gfx prices in a while and going sli with these would be pretty decent. Even at that though, for gaming I found sli to microstutter for a few different games and many games only get a 20% or 30% boost if any at all.

Im with you on that one - i have never used sli or xfire and have never OC'd. I just buy above what i need, and it tends to last for 5-10 years heh.

i thought we would be in the 285 territory but then again, that's not comparable to 2 x 660, i suppose it's worth a consideration if you don't mind the power usage, noise of 2 gpu, taking up all the space in your case, sli sync issue

with the slow down of cpu/gpu performance increase over the last 5 years you can certainly expect it to last so much longer

Do you guys think this would work in a Mac Pro?

Honestly I don't see anyone will buy this deal. The card is great budget card but only 30 days warranty and 10 dollar shipping. You are better of buying a used gtx 660 on Kijiji, you can probably get one for 100 dollar with 1-2 years warranty left.
