try negotiating with EHR they gave me 25% off no problem on any pair I wanted from an expired coupon they gave out at Mcmaster U. I also know for a fact that there is a large markup on all headphones anywhere (including futureshop)

Sorry I just assumed, EHR is East Hamilton Radio, they are located in Hamilton, they are very similar to Bay bloor radio, which is another place I would check out (their prices are usually very competitive)

nah, i had a friend check. they were about $230 with discount.

on a side note shure is adding one more set of dj styled ones to their line-up the SRH750DJ

Those look nice! I recall somewhere on HeadFi that you can get it(SRH840) from JR for $129 USD pricematched, and add $10~ for shipping.

After looking around, I've emailed a reseller that might be able to get the SRH840 for under $120 for a pair, but they're in the US. I'll see how shipping is like, and perhaps see if a group buy of 5~ units will reduce the price/shipping.

I've also found a place where they have one open box SRH240 for $40 and an open box SRH440 for $70, open box as they opened it to take pictures for their online store and thats it. Shipping is $7 and they have a 3% coupon, so they were like $45 and $74 shipped to Canada. No SRH840 though

edit: Bought a pair for ebay, $129 + $13 shipping from Vancouver. Nice!
