Signs off 401, by pearson airport.
As you drive by Pearson airport, on the north side of the 401, there are some advertisers signs... And there's a large sign reading STILL LIFE....
What is that all about?

Sounds like it's going to be an anti-choice ad. But that's the point of this new type of marketing (obay, BE), it's got your attention now and waiting to see what's going to be advertised.

I know. I've been driving past it for years, and have always wondered what it stood for... but forgot about it when I got home.
I just remembered today to ask about it.

Seem's like a waste of ad dollars if no one knows what it is.

For a moment there I thought you were talking about a Pro-life advertisment.

I think the ad is cool, but a dangerous distraction for such a busy and wide segment of the 401. In case anyone hasn't seen it, its a bit of an optical illusion, forcing you to look at it for a few seconds to see the STILL LIFE effect. That thing belongs next to a terminal moving sidewalk, where people have time to look at other things.
This kind of crap would never fly in places like Germany.
Reminds me of when they had that annoying red flashing light on a billboard at yonge and sheppard (1 block north going southbound). What an eye sore, took a few months before that came down.
