We buy this and have been waiting some time now for it to go on sale.Hopefully its on sale out here when i go tmw and check
i've been using this with a litter robot. i haven't noticed any dust, but then the robot does all the work, i rarely come close to the litter box besides taking out the poop.
I've noticed the Etobicoke Costco has been switching back and forth recently between Simplicity and another brand called "Qualicat", which was even *worse* for dust. I have noticed Simplicity has gotten dustier in the past year, but Qualicat was just horrible.
I picked up another box of this tonight at the Scarborough location.
Fwiw, there was a time it was very dusty, seems to have reverted back to normal now.
Dust free is important for me. If I have to wear a mask just to fill the litter box, I can't imagine how my cat would feel having to dig through that several times a day and with his head so close to the source of the dust.
Thanks for pointing this out. I saw the other brand at Etobicoke and thought they were switching to something better due to complaints about the dust. I didn't buy it at the time thinking I would wait for a sale and then pick it up at my regular Costco. My regular Costco (Brampton) still carries Simplicity and I still have 4 boxes of it at home from the last sale.
Thanks for clarifying that. This is Awesome...but too expensive at $400+....wow!
Pretty cool invention....but my cat is too big...not sure how he would fit or get comfy in a closed area litter box.
Plus he is a digger....kicking up litter all over the place. I had to buy a deep storage plastic box and use it as the litter box to minimize litter being sprayed around on the floor.
:)
Hey, isn't the dust just baking soda? I don't think it'd be bad for anyone's health.
