i find XM the easiest company the haggle with. At this point I just tell them to offer me the best deal possible because they know full well no one is paying full price for their service. And they better throw in online streaming as well. And usually I get around 30-40$ for 6 months with online listening.
They have the weirdest policies. If you don't talk to retention, they won't do anything for you - "You've had this offer too many times" or "There are no offers currently available". When you do get to retention, The one year rate is always higher than the six month rate (~$40 after tax and fees for 6 months, ~$120 for 12 months). I always say, wouldn't you prefer to lock me in? No, because we can't guarantee this rate will be here next time you call. But if it isn't, I'm just going to cancel. I think they bank on people forgetting to call back before the 6 months are done, but it takes all of 30 seconds to put it in the calendar on your phone and add a reminder a few days before.

Just in time, they used to make a 50$ for 6 months, with this deal it's like paying 30$ instead!
will give them a call.

thank you for taking my money.

Nope it wasnt given to me. Just make sure when you call that you go into cancel subscription and not subscribe to sirius. This way you go directly to retention.

Is there any offer which includes the streaming. I feel the streaming is now more important than car.

They are easy to haggle with, but I've found that adding in online streaming is something they don't do. I even went to far as to fully cancel because unless they included it, and wen 4 months without Sirius because of that. They wouldn't budge on that.
I had the opposite experience in the past. A few times they included online streaming for free, so I paid about $36 all in for 6 months. Last time they charged like $8 extra for online streaming. I will need to renew in December. I will see how it goes this time.

My current 1 year subscription is about to expire. How can I go about getting this deal? Will I need to cancel and sign up again?

They wouldnt offer me the promotion because i was already on a 6month promotion ending January. I even asked if I could cancel and renew.
I don't use the service but my wife does. My wife's service expires January 11th (6 months for $36). If they don't give me the offer I plan to cancel her account ASAP and then open a new account (for myself) and use that service for her car. Let's see if this works.

Guys, you don't have to call in to get the cheaper deal. Just go to the website, find me by radio id, punch in your radio, see the deal, sign up online. Not sure why you are paying $77. I'm going to see if I can get their traffic and streaming service by calling in for this price, lol.

No point knocking what others got. Some maybe like not having to worry about calling in every 3/5/6 months and prefer once a year.

That said YOU also paid too much...
XM Select (Quarterly) $ 8.97
Activation Fee (One Time Only):$ 0.00
Music Royalty and Regulatory Fee: $ 1.27
Total (Before Tax) $ 10.24
Tax (HST) $ 1.33
Total $ 11.57
(3.86 month) vs your (5.16 month)

For anyone wanting the above
