Skincare regimen?
Noob here and I need help tinkering out my regimen.
Basics are cleanse, exfoliate, tone, and moisturize.
Now my question is this: where do serums, emulsions, and paper masks fit in?

More specifically, some of my paper masks are from Korea and on it, the instructions say "after removal, nourishment is necessary". Now, sometimes translations are wonky on these packages, so what I'm wondering is if they really mean "nourishment is NOT necessary"...

Newbie
Harro my love
My nightly routine would be:
1 Cleanse face with my non foaming cleanser + Clarisonic
2 Wipe toner on my face with a cotton ball
3 Apply serum
4 Moisturize
I do face mask twice a week. I don't exfoliate because my cleanser has beads in it already.
When I'm doing my face mask, I apply it after cleansing my face before the toner, after washing face mask off or peeling it off, I do step 2-4.

I am using so many things on my skin but have recently got fed up of spending so long applying this and that so have streamlined my routine.
Cleanser (Morning and Night) – Chanel Precision Mousse Doucour. I prefer a wash off cleanser than using loads of cotton pads.
Day Moisturiser – Chanel Beaute Initiale lotion SPF 15. It leaves a lovely silky matte finish so if I can’t be bothered to apply foundation my skin still looks nice and shine free and is protected from the UVA/UVB rays.
Night moisturising treat – Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate. It’s a facial oil based mainly on Argan oil and a few other essential oils which I apply after cleansing. It doesn’t grease up my skin and it leaves it glowing by the following morning and the smell is lovely, which also seems to help me sleep well.
And now truly i am finding my skin has been the clearest ever. I very rarely get any breakouts now.

i usually do
cleanse, tone, serum, then lotion OR emulsion OR cream.
exfoliate i don't do everyday, but if i do, i do after cleansing.
paper masks I also do after cleansing as well. i leave it on and when it's time to peel it off, there's usually enough serum left on my face that I just spread it around like a lotion. i don't think additional moisturizing is required (usually). The Face Shop and Skin food masks from www.momomango.com i really like. you can also do sleeping masks as well, which i think it's just a more intense version of a moisturizer
