Skullcandy Lowrider Headphone $24.99
http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/prodde...03&catid=21272
according to the website, it's only for the Black/Gold colour, but I went to Bay/Dundas BB and have them scanned one of the Pink/White one, it shows same price $24.99
does anyone know if this headphones any good - fair for the price?
will it be better than my new iPod touch's earbud ?
thanks.

According to the reviews I read, the bass isn't too good, but the sound quality is apparently loud and clear. Some people say that they aren't that comfortable, but most reviews say they are. For that price (or in my case, $22.49
) I don't think you can go wrong really.

Considering pack-in earbuds are always complete shab, they are probably better. But I wouldn't expect too much.

They'd be hard-pressed to sound worse than the stock Apple earbuds, but if you're waiting on a touch, you might want to wait 'til you get it to check the fit of the plug. If the touch is like my iPhone, the headphone jack is recessed, and the recess is a smaller diameter than most plugs out there. I bought some Creative Zens for my nano when BB had them on a couple months back, and without whittling down the plug (or using one of the adapters like the Belkin), they don't fit the iPhone.

Yeah, just about anything will sound better than the stock iBuds. Based on some quick reading over at head-fi.org, the Skullcandy 'phones aren't bad. Personally, I'd just go buy some Koss KSC-75's though.

I got it already, I just need to know if it's worth it to open it.
sounds like it's ok.. I mean better than the stock iPod's buds...
will it fit the Touch... well.. I'd do some research again or the worse case is to get that belkin thingy ....

+1
Hop over to http://www.head-fi.org/ and search for Skullcandy. I own a pair of KSC-75's and recently picked up some AKG K 81 DJs. The KSC-75's are pretty much on par with the AKGs(which cost about 50$ more) but don't provide the isolation that the AKGs do.
Can't seem to find the KSC-75's on sale anywhere but DirectCanada has them for $16.32 anyway. http://www.directcanada.com/products...nufacture=KOSS

You can return it even if it's opened.
Also, I too think they don't work for the iPhone...

wow looks like a good deal.
I'm just curious though, where's a good place in the U.S. to buy some brand name headphones i.e., sony, skullcandy, or sennheisers?

damn i was waiting for the gold/black to go on sale.
woot, but the bass isnt that good?
how does it compare to those JVC marshmallows that are still going strong for me (although i think they're starting to get scratchy)
i mean, i like the bass on those, and im all about bass
any inputs?

true.. tried them both on the iPod touch and my friend's iPhone.. it doesn't work -- need that belkin thingy I guess. but I'm keeping it since it does sound much better than the stock buds from apple.
this one going to serve as my home headphones which mean I still have to look for my buds replacement - time to digg more on the Koss AKG.. :-) .
