Sluggish keyboard in Win2000, what is it?
It's been awhile, but the keyboard is a bit sluggish.
I've already set the repeat delay to the shortest, and repeat rate to the fastest under Control Panel. It never use to be this slow, I have no clue why. Googled for an answer, nothing.
I've been using a regular Dell (corded) keyboard via PS/2 port in Win2000, with a PS/2 mouse....
I've also hooked up my old-school Logitech 1st gen cordless keyboard/mouse, and it's still the same; albeit even slower due to the horrible technology involved.
Any clues?
I'm running a 1.4 Celeron, with 768MB memory. I've tried it immediately after bootup, so it isn't BitTorrent chewing up all the CPU writing to HD...

Have you tried changing the "typematic" or "typemetric" or whatever the hell it is setting in BIOS?
