Smart way to combat speeding

Saw this on a Chinese website, a village in China wants to reduce people from speeding. Instead of a straight road, they built a S-curve concrete wall measured 30m in length, 0.6m high, and 2.7m long hoping people will slow down. FYI, a typical road width in Canada is at least 3.7m wide and the minimum clearing envelope for a truck is 3.0m!

In residential areas in the Annex they have large blocks alternating the left and right side of the road...essentially the same thing.

So if somebody crashes in that lane, nobody can get into the village anymore since there's only one lane right?

In Toronto speed bumps add time to ambulances_______________

I'm sure clearing snow off those would be a hoot if we had those in most of Canada...

Pretty soon all protruding bits of the obstacles will get "worn down" by passing traffic, and the road is straight and clear again
