SNES mini - $80 Sept 29 2017

Courtesy of Newpunk:
Best Bet Right Now:
Pre-Order In-Store at EB Games. We're hearing lots of reports that many EB Games stores still have capacity to pre-order as of AUGUST 22 @ 3:45 PM ET.
$50 deposit is required BUT you can use your store credit if you have any from trade-ins, promos, etc.
Call ahead to the store and ask if they are still taking pre-orders, how many they have left, and if you make it there in X minutes whether you can secure one. They don't have to answer the second two questions, but some associates will help you out if you catch them on the phone, get their names so you can drop that once you get there and thank them if they were helpful!

Product Pages:
Amazon Canada
Best Buy
EB Games
Target (discount code for shipping: canadaship)

Resources:
NowInStock Tracker for Canada
Best Buy Gamers Club Twitter
EB Games Twitter
Amazon U.S. Games Twitter

Edit: BestBuy.ca sold out in a matter of minutes. Happy for those who got one. I'll keep checking in case they release more in the future before the launch. Good luck everyone, thanks for the upvotes. :)
Product page is LIVE for SNES Classic pre-orders - refresh until 1PM ET / 10AM PT. Limited quantities, 1 per household limit, and no shipping to Quebec.

You think Nintendo will overproduce or is this reseller heaven again?

Wonder if they'll make it able to access some sort of online library in the future? Or is it going to be 21 games and that's it forever?

Missing a few Titles - Chrono Trigger, Ogre Battle, etc but still this is the system I grew up with and I want it!

It's a decent selection. Secret of Mana, Earthbound, FFIII, Link to the Past. Decent value. I just hope the controller cords aren't 3 feet long again and that they produce enough of them for non-JP regions.

I really like to see them release a Switch cartridge that had the same collection.

$105 CAD? To hell with that. That's more than $5 per game.

I wasn't thinking about it when I first checked the list of games, but Nintendo has actually licensed the SFX chip. They refused to do this until now, so games like Star Fox and Yoshi's Island have never been available on the Virtual Console.

That price is still BS.

When can I do pre-orders? I just want one for myself to actually play, not to flip or make any type of profit. These games were my childhood upbringing.

EDIT:

I just called a few locations, one location said first come first serve Sept 29. Others said to take a chill pill they just announced it...

There's a cartridge out there that has the remastered Super Mario Games + Lost Levels + World. Why wouldn't they put that on their instead of just "world"? I'd buy one if it came with that.

Other than that I feel the same way was I do about the NES mini. It's an emulator built into a small box that resembles the original console. Why not add some modern features. Ability to add more games, wireless controllers, and a menu. I know these will sell out but I don't want to spend $100 that only plays 20 games with a crappy interface and short wired controllers. I'd rather play on a regular emulator.
