It took about 20 mins to sell out from the time of the email blast. First try order went through and it was cancelled 5 mins later - used Canadian PayPal with U.S. shipping address. Second try was with U.S. PayPal and U.S. address and it was also cancelled...and I was only trying to order one unit. I thought maybe it was a false alarm but no one else is reporting any cancelled orders.

We come here looking for deals. We use the savings on the things we buy to justify buying more things, thus filling our homes with tons of unnecessary consumer products. Such is the key to happiness.

looks like orders are being cancelled....I don't feel as bad missing out anymore, but I guess I do feel bad for those who can't get it now.

Thanks for the heads up, sadly they cancelled my order. Maybe because I was using a 3rd party shipper.
Don't need to feel so bad, they are cancelling everyone's orders.

If you placed an order using an American credit card or PayPal account and either chose pick-up or shipping to a family member and ordered before 12:00am ET you should be good.

It's amusing how much hassle people are willing to go through to get one of these considering how easy it is to access and play these old SNES games already

what hassle are you speaking of? Setting up a tracking notification and have a live product page 45 minutes to get an order in?

mine is still gravy.

even though I was born in the 80s I didn't get to experience the SNES. This is the easiest way to get in an official Nintendo product built for modern displays.

lol no I don't want the hassle of building a Pi to play old games. I've tried n64 emulators back in the 90s and PSX on android maybe 5 years ago, lol just no. Defeats the purpose of a console's ease of use.

It's not necessarily just about playing these games. I want to plug and play the games on a TV without any hassle or forethought, and having it in a cool little form factor is the icing on the cake. Let's be honest, the reason why most of us want one of these is for nostalgia; to have that console box plugged into your tv, turning it on and putting in some time on a classic game. There's nothing nostalgic about running an HDMI cable from your laptop running an emulator to your TV.

You don't need to build a Pi or use a PC to play SNES games. The Wii and WiiU play most or all of these games officially and the entire unofficial library of 1000+ games if you use homebrew runs flawlessly. Modded PS2, Xbox, 360 and PS3 can play the entire library too. You can even find the SNES controller for most or all these consoles on Ebay.
