I don't know how this botched pre order doesn't tarnish the sources reputation. They should have fixed their server issue, then offer pre orders again. They'll be forever remembered as the company that is incapable of running a proper ecommerce website.
Why should they beef up their servers for a single item? It's not cheap or easy to do.

They announced they are printing both NES and SNES through 2018. That's good or bad and also doesn't tell us how many they are printing.

I suspect they won't reach demand for the SNES classic.

Looks like I'll hold off purchasing the NES Classic then, plus I'm skeptical buying one online now that there's fake ones out.

Doesn't matter...still going to be scalped at high prices during Xmas.
It matters to me, because they'll be fairly easy to come by.

Unless Nintendo is going to drastically triple or quadruple the number compared to the NES Classic, you will still be battling scalpers for the consoles. Remember, they only produced 2.3 million TOTAL worldwide for the NES Classic. Even then, that wasn't enough. The SNES has even higher demand so you have to consider even an increased production of 3 million won't be enough.

Scalpers also know its the holidays so they will still be lurking until then.

entitlement over a home gaming console, of course

they announced the release time for pre-orders on a absurdly popular item hours in advance for a website that accommodates for present-day Radio Shack

I'm not sure what people really thought was going to happen.

We come here looking for deals. We use the savings on the things we buy to justify buying more things, thus filling our homes with tons of unnecessary consumer products. Such is the key to happiness.

They will be re-releasing the NES Classic but i wonder if it'll be the exact same or if they'll try to plug up the hacking hole or will it be the exact same thing. People may want one from the first run depending on the difference if any.

I'm debating on selling my NES Classic, not sure if I want to or not though.

Why? Just not playing with it much?
*RFD - once you're in there's no getting out.*

*If you wanna buy something, wait for it! Eventually RFD will post it and something in your pants will feel awesome that you waited: your wallet.*

The family uses the open one a bunch. Have a new one for collecting purposes in a box.
