Europeans, in general, are price conscious and will not buy a lot of overpriced Tesla models. When incentives expire in Ned/Nor, who is going to buy it at the Mercedes S500 price point? niche, less than 0.5% of market
It's easy to grin when your ship comes in and you've got the stock market beat.

And yet BMW and Mercedes have the majority of their revenue on products in that price range...
VW has premium brands Audi and Porsche in this price range, presumably you'd tell VW to close shop on those eh?

See if any of the items in this article resonate.

The Tesla Model 3, an electric sedan with a starting price that just got reduced to $42,900, was the best-selling luxury vehicle of any kind last year.

That's surprising for a number of reasons, not least of which is that fully electric vehicles made up just 1.2% of all vehicle sales in America last year, according to data from Edmunds.com.
Overall, Tesla sold 146,000 units of the Model 3 in 2018. It sold remarkably well considering the hurdles Tesla (TSLA) faces as a relatively new automaker and one that's actively challenging the industry's accepted sales methods.

Stopped reading after this
Quickest: Tesla performance is unmatched in mass-market vehicles. The Tesla Model 3 Performance can go from 0–60 mph (0–100 km/h) in 3.3 seconds. The Model 3 Long Range does that in 4.5 seconds. The Model 3 Mid Range accelerates to that speed in 5.6 seconds. No matter which Model 3 trim you pick, it’s the quickest car for the price, and it’s genuinely quicker than anything you really need (though, the acceleration can be useful in many situations — like merging into traffic, passing big trucks, etc.).
BMW 330xi 0-60 5.6 base price 50K CAD
340xi 0-60 4.2 base price 55K CAD
M3 0-60 4 base price 77K CAD

compare to Tesla M3 (58K / 68K / 83K CAD), only performance is substantially faster, but for still higher sticker price
(BMW M3 has been around for some time and I am sure faster car is coming soon)

Disagreement with CEO about Twit-at-will policy?

p.s. another one "unsupervised" and redacted after tweet just came out pushing stocks down...

"ARK Investment Management LLC has filed a 13F-HR/A form disclosing ownership of 414,107 shares of Tesla Motors, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) with total holdings valued at $137,815,000 USD as of December 31, 2018. ARK Investment Management LLC had filed a previous 13F-HR on November 07, 2018 disclosing 746,725 shares of Tesla Motors, Inc. at a value of $197,710,000 USD. This represents a change in shares of -44.54 percent"

They have been singing the $4k+ share price for almost a year now. Not seeing how reducing your position by 45% is going to help you and your investors cash in big on that one...
