Did you just describe yourself going to the casino tomorrow and buying red/black at the roulette table? lol For a stock with such high volatility you set a very narrow stop loss (money at risk). This is no different than gambling if you do that, no long term view and pure speculation. You basically put in a 2% buffer but the stock can move 5% in any given 2-3 day cycle.
I waited a few days to see what price did before I responded. As we saw, even a wider stop wouldn't have helped. During that day, it went down to 296.22, I was darn happy I got stopped out long before that. Lost a few hundred, as per my max risk plan.

I have my method, you have yours. My method is using a percentage of the ATR to place the stop.

This trade failed, as the demand zone wasn't strong enough, and also US markets wasn't exactly helping for those days. Even today, markets are up, TSLA is down/sideways.

My QQQ call options is doing good right now, I have it set at selling when its $1000 USD profit. Its almost there.

That's my point exactly. Thanks muppetslayer. Who would go to the casino and play $20 hands but only bring in $40 total.
My profit price target vs. risk was 3:1 or more. As per my trading plan.

word on the street is this worthless company doesn't have the cash to stock parts in most countries, example is Norway. owners are furious 2-12 month wait.

last time i checked burn rate is 8-10M/day, could be increasing as well b.c of POS quality cars made in a tent.

i think the end could be near without fresh cash injection, the pump boy lost it on twitter yesterday.

Tesla reminds me of Fisker Karma... I remember when that car came out. Everybody was talking about it.. the designer... the press.. the aficionados. the 'eco' features...
Now it's a worthless piece of metal..

I also waited a few days to see what price did before I responded. This my friends is why you don't day trade like this guy and set unrealistic targets. The classic buy high, sell low and then the price goes back to where it is.

EV rebates are gone in ON

Cancelled M3 reservation immediately.

In USA rebates also are phasing out because Tesla reach 200k (and finally have to admit it after the pressure)
So for many folks waiting for promised 35k model it would be 1500 rebate and actual price would be NOT 35k
Park 5k for a year and do not get what you paid for...no thank you.
Meanwhile Nissan will deliver Leaf with bigger LG made battery (now thermocontrolled and well).
Same range as m3, lower price, no need to pay and wait...even smart cruise control is a base feature, not an 4k addon lol

Um, Nissan has said the price of the 60 kWh battery on the new Leaf will absolutely be a premium above the price they charge for the 40 kWh.
I would highly doubt a Nissan Leaf 60 would be substantially cheaper (if at all) to a base Tesla 3 (when that is indeed available).

Tesla 3 base in Canada is $45K, which is similar to premium spec EV or PHEV from other manufacturers, inc Volt, Bolt, i3 and presumably Leaf 60kWh.

Well, the "Base" model do not exist yet (we do not know exact levels of features) so hard to say. But based on what they selling right now, even to get radar aka adaptive cruise control included in Leaf, you have to pay 5k USD (6.6k CAD) on Tesla. Now it's 51k just for "smart" cruise addition. Plus no more free charge etc.

Tesla Asks Suppliers for Cash Back to Help Turn a Profit - WSJ
Updated July 22, 2018 07:11 p.m. EDT

Electric-car company, in memo, requests supplier returns meaningful portion of money spent since 2016

Excerpt;

The Silicon Valley electric car company said it is asking its suppliers for cash back to help it become profitable, according to a memo reviewed by The Wall Street Journal that was sent to a supplier last week. Tesla requested the supplier return what it calls a meaningful amount of money of its payments since 2016, according to the memo.

The auto maker’s memo, sent by a global supply manager, described the request as essential to Tesla’s continued operation and characterized it as an investment in the car company to continue the long-term growth between both players.

Tesla did a turnaround, probably reacting to the messages people start taking out deposits. Which company actively denied (as many others), but the reaction rather confirm that. Now they're saying you do NOT need the reservation (but promised 35k model is not available anyway, lol) :
Model 3: Now Available to Order
Model 3 is available to order, and no reservation is required in the US. We’re now offering all our best options—including our Long Range and Performance configurations with dual motor all-wheel drive. You can design and order yours today for delivery in approximately 2–4 months.
Quite an example of PR - instead of saying "we could not fulfill our promise to deliver 35K model" they're saying "we're offering our best options first" lol
