What do you give your co workers and your bosses and how much do you spend on them?

Spending on what, gifts? For coworkers and bosses? Is that a new trend or did I miss the memo? No one I've ever worked with, or worked for, has ever participated in or suggested any type of gift giving... (ie, my answer for the sumtotal of my career is nothing, $0.)

$50.00 for my old boss because he really helped me when I came upon hard times and it was because of him that I got my job in the first place. He's also a family friend.

I see there are a lot of cheapa$$es here. Only the beautiful drucillica seems to be a the giver in the group.

I gave some people gift cards and then one of the bosses told me it is against policy to take this and said they cannot accept.

I gave my boss a p&s canon that I found on special, and two of my favorite coworkers (have done a lot of extra work and pushed our project to new heights) received msi winds. Other coworkers and support staff received chocolate, flowers, dx gadgets. Total cost was around 900$
