It'd like to see some third party reviews and/or a real scientific analysis of why this "soap nut" actually works before I put it in with my clothes.
If I have to throw away a shirt because these soap nuts ruined it then that doesn't help anyone.

The over-hyping of the "threat" posed by laundry detergents put me off.
Also I'd be careful if you have hard water. Real soap (as opposed to detergent) falls down in hard water.

Many regular laundry soaps are biodegradable, so I don't see the problem with using that.
