The price is firm, I'm not going to lose money on this. Was thinking someone could take advantage of the price. If I can't sell this I'll just return it within a few days.
Please read the post before asking questions. The 40G PS3 is brand new and the box has never been opened. It's the same thing you'll get if you walk into Futureshop or Best Buy and pick one up, but I'm offering a saving of $26 for those who are serious. So please, I'm not selling this for $350!

the problem with your price is you can walk into a toys r us with a amex card and get a 80 gig for 425.
and there ARE people selling 40 gig ps3s for 350, even less.
plus there are a few used 60gig/60gigs floating around for 400-450 that include games and extras.
anyway good luck selling your ps3, you might have some luck closer to xmas, cheers.

I have an AMEX card, and I can't see where I can pick up an 80G (including tax) for $425. Please enlighten me.

I just tried buying it with the AMEX promo code, and it won't take it. The site specifies the offer is for selected items only. Without the discount, the total including shipping and taxes for the 80G is $579.10, not $425.

I say just return it before the 30 days is up or whatever.
If your going to sell it at $430 for the 40gb , chances of someone buying it will be really low because yeah, there are plenty of other sales here that are more "worth the money".
ex. first page thread has a guy selling his ps3 80gb factory sealed + 2 games for $450.
