Additional notes:
* The line will be eligible for a phone upgrade in 12 months time, approx January 2013.
* If you are an existing Rogers customer, the transfer procedure simply requires I give them a call and nominate your name, followed by you calling them. Or a conference call where we do this together.
* If you are not an existing Rogers customer, they'll need to perform a simple credit check first.
* I'm using BlackBerry data, but if you data for Iphone or Android just let them know.
* If you don't need the data or want to switch to another level, they can also do that for you.
* Upon transferring, Rogers will allow you to pick a new number, or keep switch your existing number to the taken-over plan.
* The line will be available April 1st, but if you need it sooner/later we can discuss.

The account will be fully paid for up until transfer date. The account is in great standing, and not a bill payment has been missed since 2005.
The takeover for above plan is for free as I no longer need it and need to save on cancellation fees.

Tethering is the use of your phone as a wireless modem to connect to the Internet from your computer. If you subscribe to a data plan which includes at least 1GB of data transmission and if you have a compatible device, you may use tethering as part of the volume of data included in your plan at no additional charge.

To clarify one of the points: if you have an existing Rogers number that you'd like to keep, the contract must be ending on that number, or you need to terminate that first. Both lines still available!
