Another decent deal on a smooth and sweet scotch. Should be price matchable at Liquor Depot and Sobeys as well.

A very good scotch for someone entering the world of single malts from blends and other whiskeys.

Not a rub in but there is $5 off for Ontario folks at LCBO :)

Superstore has the Glenlivet for $56 as well through Sunday. Both good deals for easy drinking scotch. Neither is peated.

If peat is your thing, the best deals going are probably Lagavulin 16 at Superstore/Costco, Ardbeg (10 or Uigeadail) at Superstore and the occasional sales on Laphraoig 10 or Quarter Cask down into the $50-60 range. It's tough getting good peated scotch for under $60.

EDIT: Maybe Highland Park 12 for $60 regular price at Zyn, if lightly peated is ok.

And $63.54 (all in) for us in SK. Man we get screwed. I really hope the influx of private stores bring prices down.

Turrono, eh!
if there are any scotch tasters out there, you'll find this scotch quite good for the money. It's light, airy, with strong citrus/ginger undertones, and fairly smooth (without getting too carried away)
It's different in that it doesn't hit you with the smokey, woody, oaky, malty, oily undertones found in other typical or popular scotches. It's different but in a good way.

I'm happy to pay $60 for it in Ontairo... at the posted price (albeit a bit of a drive from Turrono...) it's a no brainer.
