hey i downloaded my router installer and acrobat reader installer file..
its not even EXE. its BIN files. i never gotten bin files for installer files before...

for those that dont know.. bin files is a movie file, and when i double click it, it automatically runs on my VLC player. what do i do? i cant even set up my router etc.

what you mean "no" it could be something else. but what im trying to say is my computer is currently reading it as a movie file.. i actually have some movie files that are BIN. saying no doenst quite help me lol

.bin is a package file, burn it to a disc.

It is a bios file in your case, login to your router from a web browser and goto the firmware update page, and pick the bin file, then update.

For routers, .bin files are normally used for firmware updates.

For Acrobat Reader, what on earth are you doing downloading stuff onto your PC ? Run it straight from the Adobe website.

im not gonna lie im a noob to these stuff, but everybody started somewhere and was once in my position. anyways im done installing. thanks everybody for your help!

It's also possible you downloaded the Mac versions of those files... try going back to the website and looking for EXE files or ZIP files.

Go download Daemon Tools and run it as a virtual drive. Saves a CD and your time.

bin is like an iso, which files are packed together
