Solved: TV-connectors question (electrical-related)

Ok, now I have a new question since replacing that part did not work.

Would this work:

1. http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2 EARN CASH BACK

2. http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2 EARN CASH BACK

So basically convert the cable signal from the F-pin into RCA, then from RCA into S-Video, in order to bypass the F-pin connector on the back of the TV. Would that work?

Your best bet would be the Source. Other shops would probably be like TigerDirect ... Tech Direct ... or Dino Direct ( so much Directs :S)

Thanks for the help. Went to The Source and they didnt have one, so I'll drive to Cambridge tomorrow and get one from Sayal hopefully.

What are you trying to do?

If by "cable signal" do you mean RF signal? As in analog cable tv or rabbit ears? If so what your trying to do wont work. Only an RF input will work for Cable Tv or Antenna.

Yup, figured it out. Bought a RF Modulator, which is what I need, and it doesn't power on, le sigh.

So you were trying to get a composite video signal into a tv with only an rf input then?

Yup. At first I thought it was the rf input in the back that was broken, replaced that, problem persisted. So then I wanted to circumvent the rf input on the tv altogether, since when it plays dvds through composite there's no problems.
