Sony 32" Bravia $1399.99 @ Sears
Just got the Sears Flyer and the front page has this Bravia 32" for $1399.99, reg. $1899.99. The picture looks like KDL32S2400, though it doesn't have Sony model # on the flyer. Sears stock #14601.
It also has the 40" going for $2199.99, Sears stock #14602.
Both deals not on website... probably in store only.

Sharp owns when it comes to LCD TVs. I was able to scoop the 32" Aquos from Best Buy. Maaaan... it's such a nice TV... I was watchin a Superbit dvd on it the other day, and I was blown away. It was sooo clear. This is also one of the first LCD TVs that I've used that can actually display dark colors properly.
I think Sony still makes sales based on their name alone. Anytime ppl think of electronics, the first name that comes up is Sony.

I think Sony Bravia is the best LCD TV available right now not just because its Sony, its not a fact its just my opinion.
and btw this isn't a hot deal... and personally I think 32" is very small u should get atleast 40" it all depends on how far ur sitting though.

Newbie
Sony Bravias are up there along with Samsungs and the Vieras (Panasonic). I had one of those Sharp Aquos 37' and I returned it due to the poor SD quality and I just did not iike the colors. Bought a Samsung and couldnt be happier.

I was very interested in the $899 Aquos at BB until I did some research and found out it's a low end chinese rebrand. LC-32D41U is the real deal Kameyama factory panel. The LC32D40U on sale at bestbuy is made by Orion who supplies the screens for insignia and other low end brands. It might be a good TV, but it's not up to par with the other Aquos panels.

It's true, not all Sharp Aquos TV's are incredible. It's amazing what a name does to people's perceptions on quality! If you want serious performance, do some serious research before you purchase. If you don't care, then get the cheapest one you can find.

The sonys & samsungs are going to be similar because they are both produced in a joint venture between the 2 companies. Notice how only sony & samsung makes their panels 32/40/46"? (i.e. there arent any 37" sony LCDs or 42" samsungs)

What you say is somewhat true. Sony Bravia's are very good televisions, which is why they're so popular these days. There are of course, many Sony products with unnecessary premiums like you stated.
