Because you have no idea what you're talking about. You don't need to UNLOCK your phone to get mp3 ringtones, just UNBRAND. If you don't know the difference don't try and contribute. The K790a requires a DB2020 unlocking, you won't get that done for $30 it's more like $100 and I doubt the dealers at pac mall can even do it. Unbranding only costs $20-$30, and DRM packager is free.

To the people who have problem getting the DRM packaged file to work on your phone make sure you are transferring the file over in "phone" mode. I don't think it works if you use "file" mode or an external card reader.

Sensitive? Your just stupid and wrong. You can't unlock a DB2020 phone (K790a, Z710, W850, etc.) for $30. For $30 they will either unlock a DB2010 phone (W810, W300, etc.) or just debrand it. Yes you can get your K790a debranded, will remove all they're start up images, and enable MP3 ring tones, etc.

If you still need this done, I can do it for you (located in GTA)

I said no one will unlock for $30 (first of all because no one can, or it costs way more than that). Unbranding alone is probably that price. Even unlocking with Rogers is $200+

Trust me, its best to just pay the $10 and unbrand the phone. You will get more features like this plus it will look better.

Dude, that was in Jan 07, PLUS, W810i and K790a are different security systems, DB2020 versus DB2010... I'm sure you could have got your W810i unlocked back then for $15 too...

u can convert the mp3's to wma format and they work fine as ring tones
