I saw that price at FS for the W4100 as well, which I think is pretty good. My neighbour bought the lower model V4100 last Nov at FS on-line (Friends and Family Sale) for $1720 + shipping.

Sony KDL46-WL140 or KDL46-W4100
Anyone know what is considered an excellent price on these TVs? Futureshop has the W4100 for $1699+tax and I've found a place that will PM the W140 for $1699+tax
However, since im not in a rush to buy a TV I wasn't sure if I should jump on it or wait it out and see how much it will drop in the near future.
If anyone knows of a good deal on either model, brand new and not refurbished, then lmk ..
thanks

I picked up the 46" Z4100 recently and I am very pleased with it
The W5100 series will be out very soon, and the higher end Z5100/XBR10 later this year._______________
I like Maynards Gummies

During boxing day the KDL46-WL140 was 1499 at best buy.
So i went to visions, walked around and the saleperson was trying to sell me the KDL46-WL140 for 1699 and i told him that best buy had it for 1499.
He went and checked and came back with a new price of 1450 for it...
Also during boxing day the 40inch Z series was 1499
i went to look at them side by side the Z series is so much better looking than the WL series... but its all your call
hope those prices i got help you... but that was boxing day and this is now so good luck
let us know how it goes.

Currently I have a 42" and I have to say I'm itching for a 46", it will suit the living room perfectly. unfortunately, I would be taking a step back (gaming mostly) going with anything less than 42".
In an economic hardship like this you would expect better deals on optional merchandise!
