Sony and Nvidia = PS3 GPU

heh.. the RE series is finished at 4 and its going to be ported into Xbox and PS2 and from what ive been hearing, the producer wasnt too pleased about the porting of those games.

MGS, well, ya.. never really a big fan, but its rehash of PS1...
sidescrolling, i think GC should me a disk that comes with all the classic NES/SNES games the way they were.. that would SO own

however, this is the PS3 thread... i am just surprised they are going with Nvid for the GPU... seems rushed, althought nVid prob wanted a share of the console market after seeing the new MS and Nintendo will use ATI chipset.

hmm.. FFI+II rehash is good?.. whats new about it from the original?

FFI & II are just the wonderswan ports but enhanced music (I LOVe the music in this game, just awesome, reminds me of the good ol' SNES days) and some extra dungeons. Graphics are enhanced quite nicely and extremely clear.
This is a bigger piece of the videogame pie for nVidia and a major win for them. ATI's doing pretty good too with the Gamecube and Xbox business all sewn up. I hope nVidia will be just as much a major headache for Sony as they were to Microsoft. It was nVidia's engineering flaw that led to the first Xbox breakthru for the homebrew crew making the first mods plus they tried to strongarm MS with the royalties and such.

If memory serves, they were originally going with ATI right? .. I have a feeling this change of heart is going to result in either production delays, or a rushed release date Either way, we lose!!

Referring to the PS3? Sony has been working with nVidia for 2 years on it,
already. I don't think ATI was ever involved.
