I'd like to import one to, but at that price, the 3 months doesn't seem so long.

a friend of mine just picked up the japanese PSP and from what i can see, it's better to wait out the 3 months until it is officially released over here. the screen flickers at times and it's not from the games ... as he now has about 4 and it does it no matter what game is playing. and the memory card won't save all the time, it gives error messages and you have to wait a few mins and try again. all this could be firmware issues, but regardless do you want to spend between $400 - $1000 only to find out that you have to deal with these problems and could have saved money and waited a little longer for the domestic version and see if those issues are corrected for this release.

so far they are saying that both versions are going to be region free for games, but even if the US version isn't region free for movies and the other media i'm sure a hack or re-worked firmware will follow shortly.
