I prefer quality, longevity, and compatibility over speed.

apparently decreasing the speed does not increase your chances of a successful burn...its just a myth..

What media did you use to burn at 24x? Was it TY004?

Lets see your C1 and C2 error scans of the disc...
My Pioneer 108 is a Z-CLV so I burn it at 8x so it's constant throughout most of the disc_______________
it's me ramin.

The myth is when people say it is better to burn at insanely low speeds (eg. 1 or 2x) with modern high speed media (eg. 16x).
While this has proven to be incorrect for quality, as far as error scanning goes, it has not been proven for longevity or compatibility. Keep in mind that error scanning is done with computer optical drives, and standalone CD/DVD players don't always use computer optical drives (ie. different laser calibration).
Personally, I stick with CLV speeds. While this isn't proof of anything, I can tell you that I've had decent results with all major brands/manufacturer of blank media I've tried, whereas you get guys here who say everything but MIJ/TY/Verbatims suck, all other media will disintegrate after contact with air, whatever other nonsense a deluded mind can invent, etc ...

Really? MCC = Mitsubishi Chemical Corp = Verbatim. You should physically compare to a Verbatim ... check the numbers at the hub ...Last edited by rabbit; Mar 16th, 2010 at 06:29 PM. Reason: typorama

I would love to see a quality scan of that 24x on verbatim 16x.
