Don't get a generic one as I have heard that the reception is not the greatest on them. Go with something from Channel Master like CM4221 or CM4228 and you'll see better results.

FYI There is an inline amplifier that requires plugging in the A/C power adapter. This antenna is not omnidirectional at all, it should be positioned towards the broadcaster's transmitters. Is your expertise based on saying whatever you want without actually owning the product in discussion? Your posting would seem to be pretty misleading, IMHO.
Read the manual at least - http://www.voxxintlcorp.com/docs/com...55/TV55_OM.pdf

I have an antenna hooked up to my pc tuner card and it works great. Mostly use it for pvr purposes but sometimes will stream live TV to my xbox with media center.

Thanks OP. I want to give this a try, but looks like only 4 left in BC according to the stock availability. Looks like I won't be able to grab one since I am at work.

Here's a list of OTA Channels in our area that you can potentially pick up. If the antenna is good enough, you can get channels from Seattle.

If you live further away to the south of Mt-Royal, in addition to those, you can also get 3, 5, 33, 44 and 57 from the States which are usually better anyway.

Yup. The staff were really nice and didn't have any issues putting it aside.
