I'd considered the 2500/month text add on for my daughter when I got her a cell phone, by the 10 day mark of her first month, she'd already blown past the 2500 count, her AVERAGE texts/month is likely 5000+, and she's not at all unusual in the amount she texts among her group of friends....

$15./month for an unlimited text add on isn't competitive though, Fido has it for $10./month...

or talk and text plans from virgin is like 20 per month

It does make the $30 talk, text and data plan seem a bit more attractive.

hey guys i want to get a tablet and use the mobile browsing on the tablet. I tried to get it to work on a friends Ipad, with no sucess.

Can some post a tutorial or instructions on best way to get mobile to work on a tablet.

o wow! thanks for informing... this already proves speakout doesnt offer 2 options: $10 2500 text or $15 unlimited text... so for those who THINK speakout will offer UMB and real data at the same time its probably too good to be true...
btw, can the $10 plan be grandfathered or they force u to subscribe the new plan?
its good that i use textme all the time by UMB MMS supported plus unlimited!

EDIT: cannot be grandfathered hope UMB is not next then!

No LTE via SpeakOut. I've got an SII LTE and it never gets LTE, only 4G, and you don't have to "do" anything as long as your phone is set to receive all available network types.

There have been mixed reviews online claiming that it was either 3G Fast or 4G Bad or LTE bootleg. I didn't know which one it falls under. Since you have the special computer, would you mind telling me which one it is?

I dunno, but don't you think that as parents we have to say something when you see numbers like this? I realize this might not be the thread for this discussion, but seriously, 5000+ texts/month and no-one thinks that some limits should be set? What if, for argument's sake, a parent at least suggested that the teen pay for this themselves? I think we're raising some of the most easily distracted future-parents ever. If I'm out in left field on this one then I guess I'll just have to be a loner.
