Special Meals on Airlines

The kids meals always look a lot better than the 'regular' meals.

I find that the majority of the time, that it really depends on what country you are flying from. A lot of time I find the food from Canada more than disappointing. I went Aer Lingus last year to Dublin and there was a massive difference on the two flights.

Actually on that note, some of my favourite airline meals have been the ones you have to pay for on WestJet - pizza, mac n' cheese etc. I wish more airlines would just serve simple food rather than try to make it look like a restaurant meal.

I'm going to guess the meals from China Southern are from their own kitchen. (They just built a new terminal at Baiyun dedicated for CZ). And the seafood meal is only offered on departing flights from Baiyun.
That is most likely so out of CAN and perhaps their secondary hubs but I would be absolutely certain all meals out of Canada will be from contract caterers.
